The brief of this project was to design a transforming autonomous racing pod, primarily for Shanghai. The idea was to produce an autonomous which could drive around the streets of Shanghai, in a low speed urban form, and drive itself to a specially designed track at the Shanghai race circuit. There it would transform into a high speed racing pod, race around the track, before transforming back to its low speed form and taking the passenger(s) back home again.
